HENDERSON, Tenn. - Cumberland (Tenn.) University made 10 first half 3-pointers to build a 54-42 lead, then made 24 free throws in the second half on its way to a 94-78 win over Freed-Hardeman on Saturday in the Brewer Sports Center.

HENDERSON, Tenn. - Freed-Hardeman University Athletics will conduct a food drive in conjunction with the TranSouth Conference on Feb. 16 to benefit The Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center in Henderson. Fans are encouraged to join FHU athletes and coaches as they seek to feed the hungry by bringing canned goods or other nonperishable food items to the game.

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. - The Freed-Hardeman Lions tied a season-low in points, but still managed to pick up a road win over Blue Mountain (Miss.) College, holding off the Toppers for a 67-59 win on Thursday night to start the second half of conference play.

HENDERSON, Tenn. - On Saturday, Jan. 28, the Freed-Hardeman University Lion basketball team helped raise money as part of the American Cancer Society/NABC's annual "Coaches vs. Cancer" weekend.
