2009: Hit .200 with two doubles in limited action…best performance
of the year was against Rust College on March 30 when he went 1-for-2 with two
RBI's and two runs scored. 2008: As a utility player used at first base and in the outfield, Smith finished up the year with a .278 average...had an impressive weekend against Hannibal Lagrange on Feb. 14-15 going 5-for-8 with 7 RBIs...drove in three runs again against Rust College on Feb. 18.
JUCO: Transfer from Motlow State Community College...had a solid freshman year at Motlow State hitting .276 with 3 homeruns, 8 doubles, and 7 stolen bases.
High School: Prepped at Loretto High School under coach Gary Lamm...earned all-district honors his senior year...hit .325 with 4 homeruns and 60 RBIs as a senior...district champions in 2004 and 2005 and appeared in the 2005 state tournament...member of the Beta Club throughout high school...earned academic all-conference in 2004 and again in 2005.
