2009 Baseball

2008: Suffered a broken finger after being hit by a pitch from teammate Josh Hester in the Lions' first scrimmage of the spring semester...missed he first 12 games of the season...made his first starts against Bethel College on March 1, where he belted a homerun and a double leading the Lions to two wins in their opening weekend of conference play...He looks to improve on his defensive performance this spring after committing 15 errors last season...in fall practices he has gained confidence and will be one of the best shortstops in the conference this spring...he finished the season with five multi-hit games.

2007: Played for Steve Cornelison at JSCC for one season...spent half his time at shortstop and the remainder of the season at second base...led the team in walks...hit .280 as an everyday starter at JSCC.

 

2006: Started his college career at Miami Dade Community College in Dade County Florida for head coach Steve Hertz...hit .340 with 4 homeruns, 40 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases...earned second team all conference in 2006...spent the fall of 2005 with current roommate Noslen Labrada at MDCC.

High School: Prepped at Miami Killian for Coach Hertler...earned Most Valuable Player at Miami Killian...named to the Gold Glove team for his defensive efforts at MKHS...

 

Personal: Son of Cesar and Arelis Nicolas...has two brothers Jaun and Christian...his favorites major league team is the Boston Red Sox...the movie Scarface is a favorite...Major: Exercise Science...favorite movie quote: "I always tell the truth even when I lie."
