2009 Baseball

2008: Had five starts last year where he went five or more innings...his best game as a starter came against Lambuth University where he threw five and a third innings while only allowing one earned run...finished up the season at 3-1...threw in 45 innings as a starter, striking out 25...recorded at least one strikeout in each of his six games started...struck out a season-high five in his first appearance in a Lion uniform at Louisiana College on Feb. 2...also was second on the team in appearances at 14.

JUCO: Was a standout high school player and earned a spot in the rotation as a sophomore at Jackson State Community College...played for Coach Steve Cornelison...was a weekend starter in one of the toughest junior college states in the country...went 7-2 as a sophomore with a 3.41 ERA.

High School: Prepped at Rossview High school for Head Coach Jason Rice...named all-district team as a senior.

Personal: He is the son of Mark and Paula Barnett...he has a sister Emily and one brother Matthew...majoring in business management...he likes the Atlanta Braves and Texas Longhorns...his movie of choice: Dumb and Dumber...Favorite Movie Quote: "Big gulps eh? Well see yah later!"
