Head Coach - 2nd Season
Lipscomb University

Derrick Spradlin enters his eighth season with the Lion and Lady Lion cross country teams and second season as the head coach of the men's and women's track and field teams. In addition to his coaching duties at FHU, Spradlin is also an Assistant Professor of English in the Communication and Literature Department.

This past season under the direction of Spradlin, the cross country teams produced 10 American Midwest Conference Scholar Athletes, which requires athletes to maintain a 3.0 or higher GPA.

Spradlin is a 1996 graduate of David Lipscomb University where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He added a Master of Arts degree in 1999 from Middle Tennessee State University and later added a Ph.D from Auburn University in 2005. Spradlin has been married to his wife Jenci for 19 years.

Assistant Coach - 2nd Season
Appalachian State University

Jana Meninno enters her second season as Assistant Coach with the Lion and Lady Lion Track and Field teams. In addition to her coaching duties at FHU, she is also an Assistant Professor in the Health and Human Performance Department.

Meninno is a 2010 graduate of Appalachian State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Strength and Conditioning. She added a Master of Science degree in 2012 from Montana State University in 2012 and later added a Ph.D from East Tennessee State University in 2015.

Meninno worked as a Volunteer Assistant for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Montana State University under head coach Dale Kennedy from 2011-2012. She later worked as an Assistant Coach for the Cross Country and Track and Field teams at Milligan College under head coach Chris Layne from 2012-2015.

Meninno has been married to her husband Vincent since 2015.
