BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon (Ark.) College Scots scored two goals in each half to send the Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions to a 4-1 loss on Tuesday afternoon.

It took Lyon (9-7, 3-2) only three minutes to open the scoring when Jordan Kalie Aliviado tallied the first of her two goals. The score remained 1-0 until under one minute to go in the first half. The Scots got a second goal, this one from Melissa Sanchez to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

Aliviado and Sanchez each scored goals in the second half as Lyon took a 4-0 lead on Sanchez's strike in the 72nd minute.

Elizabeth Blanton scored in the 89th minute for FHU (3-7, 0-4) to stop the shutout bid.

Despite the final margin, shots on goal were fairly even with Lyon putting 11 on frame to nine for Freed-Hardeman. However, Lyon keeper Stephanie Spiteri turned back the first eight scoring chances she saw.

The Lady Lions return to action on Friday with a visit to Trevecca Nazarene (Tenn.) University.
