CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - History will have to wait another year for the Freed-Hardeman Lion soccer team.

The Lions' bid for the program's first-ever 3-0 start ended as FHU fell to Campbellsville (Ky.) University, 4-0, on Friday night.

The Tigers scored two goals in each half and Jamie Allen recorded a hat trick as CU outshot Freed-Hardeman, 15-4.  The Lions managed just one shot on goal, coming from Simbarashe Zvaita.

Alexandre Girodo stopped seven shots in his season debut.  The junior missed the Lions' first two games with illness.

Freed-Hardeman returns to action on Friday, Sept. 3, in its home opener against Pikeville (Ky.) College at 8:00 PM as part of the Lions Cup Invitational.
