HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman soccer teams were initially slated to open their regular season on Thursday, Aug. 19, but a conflict at the scheduled opponent has resulted in a cancellation of those matches.

FHU was supposed to start a three-match road swing at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga.  However, a coaching change at the school led to a mix-up on the scheduled date.  Freed-Hardeman head coach Jason Elliott said that he is hopeful the matches will be rescheduled for a later date.

Instead, the Lions and Lady Lions will open their seasons on Saturday, Aug. 21, at Brewton-Parker (Ga.) College at 2:00 and 4:00 PM.
