HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman University athletic department is proud to announce its first annual Hall of Fame Weekend, which will take place on Friday, Sept. 10, and Saturday, Sept. 11.

The weekend begins with the Hall of Fame Golf Tournament on Friday morning, followed by the Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony on Friday evening.  The weekend wraps up with the Parkway Christian Auto Club Car and Truck Show on Saturday morning.

The golf tournament will be a four-man scramble played at Chickasaw Golf Course (formerly The Bear Trace at Chickasaw) with an 8:30 AM shotgun start.  Cost to play is $70 per player, which includes green fees, cart and lunch.  Teams will be flighted and prizes will be awarded in those flights.

The Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony begins at 6:00 PM in the Auxiliary Gymnasium in the Sports Center.  The induction ceremony will follow the dinner.  Tickets for adults are $10 and may be purchased in advance or at the door.

The fifth annual Parkway Christian Auto Club Car and Truck Show will wrap up the weekend's festivities beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday.  Entry fee is $25 on the day of the show or $20 for pre-registration with additional cars at $10 each.  There will be performances by the Kimberlie Helton Band, Brian Lee Howell as Elvis, and the West Tennessee Blues Brothers.  There will also be an awards presentation at 2:30 PM.  All proceeds from the event benefit the Freed-Hardeman soccer programs.

In addition, the FHU soccer teams will also be in action during the weekend.  The Lady Lions play Friday at 5:00 while the Lions are in action at 7:00 PM on both Friday and Saturday.  Admission to any of those matches is free for those who play in the golf scramble or buy tickets for the dinner.
