HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lions hold the No. 2 seed and the Lions the No. 3 seed in the TranSouth Conference tournament that begins on Wednesday night.
The Lady Lions host seventh-seeded Blue Mountain (Miss.) College at 7:00 PM on Wednesday. FHU dominated the regular season series, winning by scores of 94-66 and 93-53.
The Lions open the tournament by hosting sixth-seeded Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College, also at 7:00 PM. FHU swept both games in the regular season, 85-63 and 77-51.
Should the Lady Lions win, they would host a semifinal game on Friday. The Lions would likely travel to second-seeded Mid-Continent (Ky.) on Saturday. All games are played on the home floor of the higher seeded team.
Admission to all tournament games is $6 for adults and $3 for students. Freed-Hardeman students receive free admission to both home and away games with the presentation of a student ID.
