HENDERSON, Tenn. - Noslen Labrada hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to put a dramatic finish on double-header split with Sterling (Kan.) College on Saturday at Carnes Field.

The Lions lost game one, 14-11, before scoring twice in the seventh and rallying for a 5-4 win.  FHU won the opening game of the series on Friday, 5-3.

Game one was a slugfest from the start, with Sterling plating three runs in the first and third innings and the Lions getting one run in the second and five in the third.

Garrett Ammons gave FHU an 8-6 lead in the fifth inning on a two-run, pinch-hit homerun.  Sterling tied it up in their half of the sixth, but Labrada hit a solo shot in the bottom of the inning to push the Lions back ahead by one.

But the Warriors got six runs in the top of the eighth to go ahead 14-9, and FHU could only get two of them back as Josh Sylestine closed the door on the Lions in the ninth.

Sylestine, though, couldn't close out the second game as the Lions got back-to-back doubles by Robert Prieto and Derek Bush in the home half of the seventh before Labrada's single scored Bush from second.

FHU took a 3-0 lead in the second inning on a solo shot by Ammons and a two-run double by Bush.  Those would be the last runs the Lions would score until the last inning as Sterling got two in the third and one run in both the fifth and seventh innings to take a one-run lead into FHU's final at-bat.

Josh Reynolds (1-0) relieved Lion starter Amos Bingham in the seventh and struck out both batters he faced to limit the damage after the Warriors scored once and had runners on first and second when Reynolds entered the game.

In addition to his game-winning single, Labrada hit two homeruns in the first game.  Evan Mansell also hit a solo shot in game one and Ammons hit homeruns in both games of the double-header.
