FHU Golf Holds Off Union To Secure Ryder Cup

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion and Lady Lion golf teams held off a tremendous come back by the Union University Bulldogs to win their Ryder Cup match 14.5 to 13.5 points. Today's action saw 14 individual matches, with Freed-Hardeman winning five to bring home the trophy.

On the men's side, a trio of golfers led the way.  Easton Lavelle's 6 & 5 victory, Lance Moore's 2 & 1 win, and Dalton Thomasson's 1-Up margin paced the Lions. Two other matches were halved to give the Lions a total of four points on the day.

Chloe Kraus' 3&2 win was the only point garnered on the ladies side.

UP NEXT: The Lions continue their season at the Riley Moore Collegiate Cup on Thursday, September 14th in Centerville, Tenn. The Lady Lions play September 18-19 at the Wallace State Fall Women's Golf Invitational in Cullman, Ala.
