2010 Baseball

HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lion baseball team added another player for the 2010 season with the recent signing of William Marquette of Bell Buckle, Tenn.

Marquette prepped at The Webb School where he lettered in baseball, basketball, and lacrosse.  He was a four-year starter for the baseball team, leading the squad in fielding percentage for three of those years while primarily playing second base.  He also played on the varsity basketball team for five years and was a starting midfielder on the lacrosse team.

"William will be a nice addition to our program," said FHU head coach Patrick McCarthy.  "We like his character and work ethic and look for him to develop for us as a utility player over the next four years."

William is the son of Bill and Elizabeth Marquette.
