KANSAS CITY - Both Freed-Hardeman basketball teams moved up in the latest NAIA national rankings released on Monday.

The Lady Lions (19-6, 9-2) rose one spot to No. 5 after a 65-60 road loss to No. 3 Lambuth (Tenn.) and a 98-70 blowout over Blue Mountain (Miss.).  This marks the 21st consecutive poll in which FHU has been in the top 10, surpassing the program's streak of 20 straight top 10 appearances from 2004-2006.

The Lions (19-6, 10-1) jumped up three spots to No. 10, breaking into the top 10 for the first time since Feb. 11, 2003, after road wins over Lambuth and Blue Mountain.  FHU has won 12 straight games.

Both teams are in action on Thursday as Martin Methodist (Tenn.) comes to the Sports Center.
