HENDERSON, Tenn. - The Freed-Hardeman Lady Lion softball continued its connection to state softball powerhouse Trinity Christian Academy with the recent signing of Allie Carpenter of Decaturville, Tenn.

Carpenter is presently a senior at TCA in Jackson, Tenn., where she has been a two-year starter in the outfield.  As a junior last season, she hit .432 with 36 RBI and 10 stolen bases.  She also helped lead TCA to its fourth state championship as a sophomore.

During her career at Trinity Christian, she is hitting .375 with 68 RBI and 20 stolen bases.

"Allie brings us great speed in the outfield and at the plate," said FHU head coach Todd Humphry.  "She comes from a great program that knows how to win."

She will be the fourth player from TCA to play softball at Freed-Hardeman joining Brittany Yates, Natalie Nelson and Shelby Cummings.

Allie is the daughter of Chris and Liz Carpenter.
